A ubiquitous buzz
phrase in education claims that, "The Internet expands
the walls of the traditional classroom." Yes, the technology
has been developed, and many schools have procurred these
resources, but how does an educator integrate these tools
into the day-to-day classroom experience? Exploring the
functionality of the Internet and breaking apart its components,
this workshop will show you how to use the Internet as a
tool for inquiry-based research projects within the classroom.
Use the first section of this site, Computer Basics, to
learn about and/or review how a computer works in order
to prepare for more advanced concepts and skills. After
completing this workshop you will be able to use the Internet
as a integral classroom learning tool.
