Creating Pie Charts

(modified from Microsoft in Education's Excel 97 lesson)

Scenario: You wish to make a pie chart displaying the results for the Elementary Schools.

Step 1: Enter your data into Microsoft Excel.

 

Step 2: Highlight all of the data you wish to graph.

In our case, highlight A3 to B10.

Step 3: Click on the Chart Wizard icon.

Step 4: Under Chart type, click Pie, and in Chart sub-type, choose a style.

Step 5: Click Next three times.

Step 6: Decide if you wish to place the pie chart in a new sheet or in the same sheet.

Step 7: Click Finish.
