When designing the background for your illustrations, Adobe Photoshop can make your life a whole lot easier. Using the steps below you can create a multitude of backgrounds, including backgrounds as simple as clouds or a starry night.
Creating a cloud background:
1. Open Photoshop. From the top menu bar, choose File | New. In the window that appears, enter the information below:

the tool bar, select the appropriate colors for the foreground and background.
Since we are making clouds, choose white and a shade of blue for your
colors.
3. In the top menu bar, choose Filter | Render | Clouds. Notice the clouds filter uses the foreground and background colors you have chosen.
4. Experiment with other Filters to see interesting effects you can create. The steps listed below the images show how you can re-create these images.
