Student
Association
The
Student Association office is located in room 241 and it is headed
by Mr. Schwartz. The Student Association serves primarily to allow
students to take the initiative and assume responsibility over issues
in the school community and the outside community. Students in the
Student Association strive to help their school community and fellow
peers. Its main functions are: to unify student activities and promote
the activities of the school, to aid in internal administration
of the school, and to allow students to participate in a democratic
process. Students in the Student Association develop outstanding
leadership qualities.School activities led by the Student Association:
Toy Drives, Walk-A-Thons, Holiday stores, and Cancer Aiding Sales.
Fundraising is also done by the Student Association.
Students
in their Senior year have dues that cover:
- Yearbook
- Graduation
expenses-cap
and gown, flowers, diploma covers, tickets (June graduation)
- Senior
Baseball Jersey-
given in March. (Includes school name and class year)
- Senior
Stuff- glass
or mug, key chain, pen/pencil, etc.
- Discount
on Fire Island BBQ trip-
breakfast, BBQ lunch, bus and ferry service (June)
- Discount
on all Senior Dinners-
one on each month
