Mainstreaming

A special feature of Humanities Center is its mainstream initiative which includes integrated classes of General and Special Education students taught by a team of teachers. The primary goals of the mainstream program are:

• to increase opportunities along with students who are non-diasbled
• increase scholarship
• to promote an increase in rectification to less respective environment and/or decertification from special education.

It is worth nothing that more than 50% of Humanities Center students are mainstreamed for one or more courses, excluding gym. A high percentage of those students pass their mainstream classes.
