Day 5

Objective:
Learn about the hierarchy structure of web sites by looking at several links associated with a high school's web site.

Hands-on Activity

  1. Look at a the Stuyvesant High School and discuss the second layer of the hierarchy. In this case the second layer will have 13 categories for that level.
  2. Choose clubs or teams to further map out their entire path. See how much each category branches out using the hiearchy structure.
  3. List what you like about the club path or the team path.
  4. List what you don't like about the club path or the team path.
  5. Explain what you would do different for your school site

 

 

  • Story boarding tech team's contribution to web site.
  • Establish a hierarchy of importance. The hierarchy should be used to structure relationships on the school web site.
