Objective:
To learn how to search for sites using advanced techniques.

Challenge: Find the most polluted city in the United States. Confirm your answer by finding another site with the same answer.

Activity one: Find listings using the directory of AltaVista

1. Click on AltaVista from the above list of search engines
2. Determine which path you will take in the web directory to find a listing of all the high schools in Manhattan. (Group Activity)

Activity two: Find listings using the directory of AltaVista

1. Use the directory of AltaVista to find sites about Britney Spears. Use the most logical path.
2. Compare using the directory method of searching with placing "Britney Spears" in the search window and clicking on the search button.
