The goal of Yoga is to have a peaceful, clear mind in a sound healthy body.

Hatha Yoga is concerned primarily with the physical aspect of our being; it is comprised of a series of ingenious body attitudes (postures) and certain breathing exercises.

The Hatha Yoga program is begun by assigning only the most elementary positions, those that can usually be accomplished by anyone who is capable of normal movement, and that if he/she allows his body to “set” itself in these poses as instructed, one can certainly progress to the more advanced work.

Hatha practice should be done on an empty stomach and only loose, unrestricting clothing should be worn.
