Welcome to Critical Basics

High School for Environmental Studies

The purpose of this two-day critical basics workshop is to introduce teachers to technology, advanced internet concepts, and new media applications. The workshops will also introduce participants to techniques for finding, using, and critically evaluating information on the Web. Particular attention is given to how computers can be used to support student learning and encourage classroom communications.

Through critical basics, teachers have the opportunity to apply what they have learned by creating curriculum projects. If interested in starting a curriculum project or creating a class information web page, contact your staff developer:
