Purpose:
To investigate and understand the workings of the American Stock market in order to participate in the Stock market in the future.
Method:
1. Choose a company in which you will invest. This will include details of the company such as products, size of company, location, activities and all information that would influence a person investing in this company. Be sure to discuss P/E Ratio and dividends. Include quote abbreviation.
2. Buy shares of stock. This will include the cost of the stock on the day of acquisition.
3. Track the activities of your stock on the exchange. (Choice of exchange- NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX) Use Excel for spreadsheet. Use links to the stock pages of CNBC.

4. Sell stocks. Calculate profit/loss. Be sure to add dividends, stock splits and all transactions that will affect the outcomes.
Outcome:
Put together a thorough report on this entire
project to be submitted for a grade. Create a class presentation to
enlighten your classmates. Either use your own graphics, (Chart of your
stocks performance, etc) or use a link and create a Power Point presentation
on the computer.
