****FOR EXTRA CREDIT****
1.
Choose an element and investigate
the history of that element. Discuss who, how and when
it was discovered. Discuss what are the uses for that element in chemistry
and in everyday life. Draw or select pictures to show what the element
looks like or products that are made of that element.
2.
Choose a scientist that has
somehow contributed to the atomic history. Write a two – page report
on his/her discoveries and how they have helped to develop our modern
atomic theory.
3.
Draw any picture or make a
collage that pertains to chemistry – i.e.; Lab Safety Equipment, Atoms,
Sublevels, Measurement, Periodic Table.
All Drawings or collages should be on posterboard or oaktag.
